Old Flooring

Versailles, Arenberg or Chantilly boards have become rare, are not affordable by everyone and new oak panels are not always satisfactory. That is why we make those boards with old 100 to 200 year old woods. A long preparation work as well as a hot wax finish gives the flooring a pleasant patina with amber colours similar to old wood.

Old boards, 40 to 50 mm in thickness, are restored at our workshops, with old wood, following traditional methods.
Old strip board floors are cleaned and machined to facilitate their joining, without affecting the patina. Mitered herringbone flooring are cut to measure depending on the room of destination.
We use old recuperated beams to make rustic flooring. A rough, greyed or whitened aspect is sought, with this wood.
