The flooring is nailed traditionally according to professional rules, on joists or false floors.
Renovating an old house is often an opportunity to improve acoustical properties. Replacing worn flooring helps change the under-layer. Joists usually sealed to plaster canting strips are replaced with a sound insulation material.
In modern houses without sufficient ground reservation, most of our floorings can be glued directly on the cement slab.
The floorings are finished on site at the end of the site work. Depending on the treatment, a fine sanding or steel wool sanding and a hot waxing will help the flooring keep its genuine aspect.
